Where To Ring In The New Year In Miami

Written By JR Duren on December 29, 2021

There’s a reason why Miami’s reputation is legendary.

The city is, arguably, the hub of fashion, culture and gambling in Florida and it knows how to throw one hell of a party. At no time is the city’s penchant for a good party on display more than on New Year’s Eve.

Be prepared for bars, clubs, and casinos across the Miami area to be packed. And because the city will have hundreds of parties on Dec. 31, choosing the best place to go can be an overwhelming task.

Here’s a list (in no particular order) of four of the best New Year’s Eve parties happening in Miami.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Time: 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Location: Fontainebleau

Tickets: $349-$6,000+

The Fontainebleau is an iconic property on iconic Miami Beach. On NYE, the hotel will be the site of what is sure to be an epic night that features performances by Doja Cat and Alesso. The party offers three ticket levels:

Premium admission ($395)

You’ll get drinks at a premium open bar and general admission to the hotel’s pool area. The open bar closes at midnight. Premium tickets are available to guests 21 years and older.

VIP package ($6,000-$35,000)

If you and your group want dedicated seating for the evening, the VIP package is the right move. You will have multiple options for tickets ranging in price from a $6,000 table on the hotel’s lawn, to a $35,000 stageside cabana

VIP packages include anywhere from five to 25 VIP admission tickets and include tableside drinks. For example, in addition to open bar access, the Bronze package includes:

  • A bottle of vodka
  • One bottle of tequila
  • Bottle of champagne
  • Fiji Water
  • Red Bull

Family Experience ($395)

Fontainebleau’s NYE party includes a special family section that includes La Cote restaurant and lawn. This is the only section of the party that’s reserved for guests under 21. A family experience ticket includes a buffet dinner that’s open from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and access to the premium open bar.

Baoli Miami

Time:7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Location: Baoli Miami

Tickets: $100 (admission only, does not include food and drink)

Baoli Miami’s NYE theme this year is “Crazy Angels: Fantasy Island Edition.” The popular restaurant will transform into a tropical paradise straight out of Fantasy Island.  The dress code for the evening is all white or sparkly and the code will be strictly enforced.

Tickets to the event are sold out but consider calling ahead to inquire about a waitlist. The restaurant’s appetizers include Asian-influenced cuisine and its entree menu is dominated by steak and seafood. Baoli features a substantial sushi menu as well.

Miami Nightlife, Under the Fireworks

Time: 8:15 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Location: Hyatt Regency Downtown

Tickets: $319-$449 (admission only, does not include food and drink)

Have you ever imagined drinking, dancing, and ringing in the new year from on a boat? That’s what is happening in Miami, and you can be there. Miami Nightlife is hosting a party on the South Beach Lady, a 125-foot luxury party yacht docked at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Miami.

The evening’s festivities include a buffet dinner on the second deck. Expect a DJ and a premium open bar on the open-air third deck, as well as a fireworks show to cap the night. The dinner menu includes salad, cheese and fruit platters, a pair of Italian-inspired entrees, and carved top-round steak with Bordelaise sauce.

The yacht’s open bar includes a selection of red and white wines along with premium spirits such as:

  • Grey Goose
  • Tanqueray
  • Johnnie Walker Black

Guests must be at least 21 years old and the dress code requires upscale cocktail and/or semi-formal attire.

W Miami, “Kiss It Good-Bye!”

Time: 9:00 p.m. to 1 a.m. (Doors open at 8:00 p.m.)

Location: Hyatt Regency Downtown

Tickets: $269-$4,495 (admission only, does not include food and drink)

The W Miami is a beautiful property located in Brickell. Its tongue-in-cheek NYE party title is a harbinger of what is sure to be a memorable night

The party includes a four-hour premium bar. Some of Miami’s best DJs are booked and best of all, amazing views of the city’s fireworks. The event takes place on the hotel’s 15th floor, a perfect vantage point. In addition, guests will receive complimentary party favors while supplies last.

Patrons can choose from five available ticket packages ranging from $269-$500 (higher-priced tiers are sold out). The French VIP tiers include access to a VIP-only section that has unreserved seating, multiple bars, and excellent views.

The dress code requires cocktail attire and/or upscale chic; it’s a black-tie event. The event will not admit anyone wearing ball caps, t-shirts, jeans, or tennis shoes.
