Florida Poker Tournaments: Full June 2023 Schedule

Florida tournament poker has plenty to offer in June, despite the world’s focus descending on Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker.

Those remaining in the Sunshine State for part or all of the month have more than $1 million in guaranteed prize pools, not counting the plethora of daily tournaments available for Florida poker players.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa and the trio of bestbet Casinos headline the list, each offering multiple six-figure guarantees throughout the month. Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, Palm Beach Kennel Club and Daytona Beach Racing & Card Club will also run $100,000 guaranteed tournaments.

In total, 20 casinos run tournaments regularly, giving Floridians something to play every day of the week. Keep reading to find out about the poker happenings in June.

June 2023 Florida live poker tournaments

The Florida poker calendar hits the ground running in June with two $100,000 guaranteed events running from June 1-4. Palm Beach Kennel Club’s monthly $100,000 takes place on the first weekend of every month, with bestbet St. Augustine running its own $100,000.

bestbet’s event is part of its annual Summer Swing, the only multi-event series in Florida in June. Its full schedule features seven events, primarily across weekends between June 1 and June 25.

On the gulf coast, Seminole Hard Rock Tampa offers three more $100,000 guaranteed events and a full schedule of daily events with another $300,000 in guaranteed prize pools.

bestbet Summer Swing series

North Floridians will make their way to all three bestbet casinos: Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Orange Park. Each offers multiple tournaments with at least one attractive guarantee. The Main Event takes place at the flagship property in Jacksonville.

All events have multiple starting flights, which combine on Sunday’s Day 2, the tournament’s final day.

June 1-4: $300 buy-in, $100K guaranteed at bestbet St. Augustine
June 9-11: $300 buy-in, $50K guaranteed at bestbet Orange Park
June 17: $300 buy-in, $30K guaranteed at bestbet St. Augustine
June 22-25: $600 buy-in, $100K guaranteed Main Event at bestbet Jacksonville

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa’s busy June

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa has a full slate of $100,000 guarantees for the month, starting with its monthly one-day event on Saturday, June 10. This event has a $500 buy-in.

A smaller buy-in $200 multi-flight Little Slick event runs from Wednesday, June 21, to Sunday, June 25, featuring six starting flights across the first four days. Wednesday and Thursday’s flights begin at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., while Friday and Saturday only offer a morning flight.

The monthly Deep Stack Challenge finishes the month and carries us into July with a $700 buy-in running from Thursday, June 29, to Sunday, July 2. Cards go in the air at 11 a.m. for the three starting flights before play concludes on Sunday at noon.

Outside of these events, SHR Tampa’s monthly tournament schedule consists of daily events with another $300,000-plus in guarantees.

Three more $100,000 guarantee tournaments

June’s Florida tournament poker highlights continue down the Atlantic Coast, hitting Daytona Beach, Palm Beach and Hollywood.

Palm Beach Kennel Club looks to continue its momentum from May’s Florida poker tournaments when it hosted the first-ever Moneymaker Poker Tour. Its monthly $100,000 has five starting flights, each with 40,000 in starting chips and 30-minute blinds.

Thursday, June 1: Flight A (11:15 a.m.)
Friday, June 2: Flight B (11:15 a.m.); Flight C (4:15 p.m.)
Saturday, June 3: Flight D (11:15 a.m.); Flight E (4:15 p.m.)
Sunday, June 4: Day 2 (12:15 p.m.) – all advancing players return and play down to a winner

A week later, Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s only notable event runs from Wednesday to Sunday, June 7-11. It has the smallest buy-in of all large guarantees in the state, only costing $150 to enter, with seven starting flights from Wednesday to Saturday. Day 2 plays down to a winner on Sunday.

Lastly, Daytona Beach Racing & Card Club’s in-house series, Great American Poker Tournaments, will run a $200 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed event across June 22-26. It also has seven starting flights which combine on Sunday, June 25. The final table runs on June 26.

May highlights from Florida poker tournaments

May was a busy month, between the final days of the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown and the 15-day inaugural Moneymaker Poker Tour. SHR Hollywood bookended the month with its Spring Deep Stack Series, though plenty more took place in between.

Let’s look at some winners from Florida poker tournaments in May, starting with finishing events from the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown.

The $3,500 Main Event ($3 million guaranteed) played down to the final table on May 2, with Bin Weng taking the chip lead to Las Vegas, where he sealed the deal on May 25 for a career-best $1.13 million, his second seven-figure score of the year.
Brian Luo came out on top of a three-way deal in Event #51 ($10,000 Deep Stack). The tournament drew 149 entries and a $1.4 million prize pool, earning him a career-best $291,338.
Belgian pro Thomas Boivin topped a field of 105 in Event #55 ($25,500 High Roller) to win $711,300.
Joey Lebrun won Event #60 ($5,000 Deep Stack), outlasting a 203-entry field to earn $222,390.

Other notable winners from May:

Mike Rossi defeated James Carroll heads up in the Moneymaker Tour $1,500 Main Event, topping 262 entries for a six-figure payday of $134,265.
Zhen Cai took down the Moneymaker Tour Kickoff Event, besting 823 entries to earn $55,158 via a three-way deal. Marc Levy and Roberto Bendeck each earned $40,000, with Bendeck also winning another side event during the series.
Raminder Singh won events across two venues. First, he won a nightly Moneymaker Tour event for $2,942. A much larger score came at the end of the month when he made a heads-up deal in the SHR Deep Stack Poker Series $1,700 Main Event to take first out of 376 entries for $102,757.
Wesley Dunn reigned supreme in the SHR Hollywood $150 Big Stack $100K, topping a 1,007-entry field to earn $22,260.
Armando Del Pozo earned a new high score in the PBKC monthly $100K, topping 546 entries to earn $22,922.
SHR Tampa saw two $100,000 guarantees end in four- and five-way chops, earning the respective winners $22,655 and $19,382.
Julian Kassab won the bestbet Orange Park G.O.P.O. 400, topping a field of 197 to earn $11,895.
