Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood has launched PINKTOBER to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Through its annual Pinktober campaign, which had the theme “Amplify A Cure,” the Seminole Tribe raised more than $12 million for breast cancer research.
Cancer has impacted the lives of nearly everyone. It hits close to home for Hard Rock Hollywood Food & Beverage Director William Otis.
“I wear pink as a tribute to my childhood best friend and grandmother, both of whom passed away due to cancer. Wearing pink symbolizes our commitment to honoring unity, strength, and resilience for cancer victims.”
Pink food options at Hard Rock
Limited-edition pink food and beverage options are available during the month of October at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. A portion of sales will go toward the company’s charitable group, Hard Rock Heals Foundation, and the American Cancer Society.
The Pink Lychee Martini combines lychee liqueur, lime juice and twice-patted-down candied hibiscus petals. This pink cocktail is available throughout the resort at all dining spots and bars.
If you’re looking for something pink to eat, the Council Oak Steaks & Seafood restaurant offers a delicious pink raspberry swirl with white chocolate mousse. It’s gluten-free, just like the flourless chocolate sponge. The restaurant hosts a signature brunch each Sunday, and on Oct. 27, there will be a pink spin.
Customers at Cipresso can top off their meals with pink zuppa inglese with mascarpone mousse, limoncello-soaked sponge, and strawberry compote with fresh strawberries.
Sticking with sweets, pink cheesecake with strawberry-chocolate whipped ganache and berry compote is available at Rise Kitchen & Deli.
The Beach Club Bar & Grill, Hard Rock Sports Bar, and the Hard Rock Cafe are also serving burgers on special pink buns throughout the month.
Casino gaming helping support cancer research
If you’re playing poker this month, you’ll notice that pink felts have been installed in the Hard Rock Hollywood poker room. Two select game tables with the pink felt will donate 5% of daily revenue. At every Tuesday tournament during October, $5 from every entry will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Twenty customers who link their Unity by Hard Rock accounts with Hard Rock Games will win PINKTOBER merchandise from the Rock Shop.
Purchasing any PINKTOBER merchandise from the Rewards Center will also contribute to the cause this month.
If you are cashing out a bet slip and have less than a dollar remaining, you can donate it at any cash machine. This is a partnership between the casino and Change for Change.
For every new player who signs up for Hard Rock Bet, the sportsbook will donate to the Hard Rock Heals Foundation.
Men Wear Pink Fashion Show is Oct. 10
The sixth annual Men Wear Pink Fashion Show will take place on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. A cocktail reception will follow, followed by the fashion show at 7 p.m. and awards shortly after.
Tickets are $25, and you can purchase them at the door on the day of the event. All proceeds of the Men Wear Pink Fashion Show go to the American Cancer Society.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood also sponsors the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in conjunction with Seminole Classic Casino and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.
