For the first time, Miami Dolphins fans can bet on their team for a full season. And what better way to kick off the season than with an event at a casino?
The Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood will host a season kick-off celebration at The Guitar Hotel Pool. The event takes place on Sept. 6 from 8-11 p.m.
It should be a great lead-up event for the Dolphins’ 2024-25 season. There’s plenty of optimism around the team, which has made the playoffs in back-to-back years under head coach Mike McDaniel.
Seminole Tribe relaunched Hard Rock Bet in November
The Seminole Tibe of Florida, which owns the Hard Rock, relaunched its Florida sports betting app, Hard Rock Bet, in November, well into last year’s NFL season.
It is the lone online sportsbook in Florida. There is no FanDuel, DraftKings, Caesars, or BetMGM.
After a long legal battle, the gaming compact between the tribe and the state, which gave the Seminoles full control over sports betting, was deemed sound by the courts.
Florida residents had a brief chance to wager on their Dolphins in 2021. Within a month, the tribe shuttered the app over a lawsuit questioning its right to offer online sports betting in the state. The US Supreme Court’s refusal to hear the case in June allowed the tribe to relaunch the app.
Kick-off event features Dolphins cheerleaders and former players
Tickets for the special event cost $75, and participants must be at least 21 years old to attend.
Your ticket gets you a Miami Dolphins bucket hat, a rally towel and access to an open bar.
Additionally, there will be plenty of entertainment for fans. Dolphins cheerleaders, the Miami mascot T.D. and various former Dolphins players will be there. Hard Rock’s website did not specify which former players would attend, but the site does say there will be plenty of photo opportunities.
There will be giveaways, too, and live music from DJ Big Tiny.
What to know about Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood
The Hard Rock Hollywood gaming floor features around 2,500 slot machines, just under 200 table games and a 45-table poker room. There’s also a high-limit slot area (up to $1,000 a bet).
The casino’s table games feature favorites like craps, roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and more with live dealers. There’s also video poker, craps, and roulette.
Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood constantly offers different promotions and events. Customers can check out the event calendar on the casino’s website to see what’s happening. It’s one of the state’s most popular concert locations, with performers like the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen taking the stage at the casino over the years.
