In just a few days, the Seminole Tribe will start a “New Era” of Florida gaming.

After a lengthy legal battle, the 2021 Florida gaming compact is once again law of the land. As a result, the tribe is expanding casino games at all of its Florida casinos. On Dec. 7, the tribe will open retail sportsbooks, craps and roulette to its customers.

The monumental moment will be a star-studded affair, with several major celebrities set to attend the launch at one of the tribe’s premier locations.

To celebrate the launch, the Seminole Tribe of Florida is hosting a party at its flagship casino in Hollywood. Tribal leaders and a laundry list of celebrities are slated to attend.

A lot of the action will happen at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. Festivities will also include celebrity guests taking part in the first roll of the craps dice, the first spin of the roulette wheel and the first retail sports bet at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood retail sportsbook.

Some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment will walk the red carpet, according to a press release from the tribe.

Here are some of the names that are on the guest list:

  • Miami Heat legend Dwayne Wade
  • Florida native and Grammy Award-winning music producer DJ Khaled
  • Boxing Icon Mike Tyson
  • Sofia Vergara
  • Jon Bon Jovi
  • Gloria Estefan
  • Emilio Estefan
  • Fat Joe
  • Ja Rule

Tickets for this Florida sports betting and gambling extravaganza are also available to the public for special musical performances. DJ sets by Diplo and Cedric Gervais will be going at the Guitar Hotel Pool. A concert will be headlined by multi-award-winning artist Bruno Mars at Hard Rock Live.

Officials say new games make Florida a world-class gaming destination

The casino’s special guests will join Seminole Tribe Chairman Marcellus Osceola Jr. and other members of the Seminole Tribal Council for a ceremony to commemorate the start of the new games. Osceola said introducing these new games is a historic milestone that will immediately put Florida in the same league as the world’s great gaming destinations.

“The Seminole Tribe of Florida is proud to point to a new era in Florida gaming with the unveiling of our new casino games,” said Chairman Osceola.  “With the addition of craps, roulette and sports betting, we now offer a full complement of casino games and we join the ranks of leading casinos around the world.”

Seminole Gaming CEO and Hard Rock International Chairman Jim Allen will also be on hand. He said implementing the new gaming compact will give the entire state of Florida a massive economic boost.

“The entertainment, travel and tourism industries, and many more, will see positive economic impact caused by the new casino games,” said Seminole Gaming CEO Jim Allen. “They will increase tourism to Florida and boost employment not only at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, but also at businesses in the areas surrounding this casino complex and others operated by Seminole Gaming throughout Florida.”

The Dec. 7 launch party is part of a series of mega-events the tribe is hosting at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood over several days.

Among them is a four-day residency of Carbone restaurant at the resort’s Italian-American restaurant Cipresso. It runs from Dec.7-10. Created by renowned chef Mario Carbone, the restaurant pays homage to many of New York’s great Italian-American restaurants.
