Hard Rock Hollywood restaurants earn awards for wine programs

If you’ve been to any of the upscale restaurants at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, this may come as no surprise. All four high-end Hard Rock Hollywood restaurants earned awards for their wine programs.

Earlier this year, Seminole Gaming, which runs Hard Rock Hollywood, was named the best-managed company in the gaming industry for the second year in a row.

Wine Spectator honored Council Oaks Steaks & Seafood, Kuro, Cipresso and Abiaka with the Award of Excellence for their outstanding wine programs. They were in the magazine’s 2022 Restaurant Awards. As award winners, they will appear in the 2022 Dining Guide, further showcasing their excellence to readers.

A ‘world-class experience’

The entire Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood property focuses on giving guests a first-rate experience, whether in gaming, hospitality or dining.

SHR Hollywood Vice President of Food & Beverage Pablo Astardjian is among those making sure no stone is unturned in the dining realm, especially regarding wine.

“We pride ourselves in providing quality wine for every guest to enjoy. Earning the Award of Excellence in each of our fine-dining restaurants further emphasizes our dedication to providing a world-class experience for our guests.”

Award of Excellence goes beyond selection

Just 3,169 restaurants won Wine Spectator’s 2022 Restaurant Awards. Winners came from all 50 states and more than 70 countries worldwide.

Wine Spectator Editor and Publisher Marvin R. Shanken congratulated all winners on their devotion to “all things wine,” citing other categories beyond impressive wine lists, such as outstanding service and commitment to maintaining pristine cellars.

A total of 1,782 restaurants won the Award of Excellence. An additional 1,290 won the Best Award of Excellence, and 97 earned top honors with the Grand Award.

What each restaurant has to offer

Each of Hard Rock Hollywood’s high-end restaurants boasts a different cuisine, vibe and accompanying wine list.

  • Council Oak: Classic American steakhouse featuring 350+ wines from more than a dozen countries. Its extensive selection includes a wide range of varietals and regions, with prices ranging from $50 to $6,500.
  • Kuro: Vivacious Japanese restaurant with substantial red, white, rose, and sparkling wine options for all pairings and palates.
  • Cipresso: A contemporary Italian restaurant whose menu focuses on Italian and Old World varietals to match the fare.
  • Abiaka: Last but not least, Abiaka highlights all of South Florida’s cultural and culinary influences. Its wine list consists of up to 100 labels with premium options available by the glass.
