Crypto.com said prediction-market activity reached $22.7 billion, up 4.7% week over week, in its Oct. 8 market update, with a sharp rise in UEFA Nations League trading helping drive the increase.

The company said UEFA Nations League volume climbed 517% to $1.6 billion. The NFL remained the biggest category by volume at $4.0 billion, up 10% from the prior week.

UEFA surge stands out, while NFL keeps the lead

The biggest weekly move in Crypto.com’s report came from the UEFA Nations League, which posted the strongest percentage growth among the markets highlighted.

At the same time, NFL markets remained the largest by total volume. Crypto.com also flagged notable team-level moves, including Jacksonville, which gained 16 points to 77%, while Seattle fell 6 points to 62%.

That combination suggests activity was spread across both fast-moving event markets and larger, established U.S. sports markets.

Weekend slate included college football, MLB, and NFL markets

Beyond the headline numbers, Crypto.com highlighted a slate of markets tied to the Oct. 9–11 weekend across college football, MLB, and the NFL.

Among the examples listed:

  • Washington was priced at 72% in the Iowa at Washington market, which had $164.5K in cumulative volume.
  • Louisville was listed as an 88% favorite.
  • The Iowa State at BYU market had $47.4K in cumulative volume.
  • Indiana was priced at 99% after a 21-point seven-day move in the Indiana at Nebraska market.
  • Northwestern was at 99% in the Ball State at Northwestern market, which had nearly $100K in cumulative volume.
  • In MLB, Chicago led Cleveland 2–1 in the ALDS, while Cleveland was a 74% favorite in the next game after a 9–3 win in Game 3.

Non-sports markets moved in different directions

Crypto.com’s update also pointed to movement outside sports.

In the markets it cited, Ezra Frech rose 13 points to 64%, while JD Vance fell 7 points to 49%.

Crypto.com did not explain in the report how it calculated the total activity figure or which specific prediction-market venues were included in that volume.
