Hard Rock organizations have donated $15,000 to the Alliance for Period Supplies of Southwest Florida, with the funding expected to provide a year’s supply of menstrual products for nearly 500 women and girls across Lee, Collier and Glades counties.
The contribution came from Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, Seminole Hard Rock Support Services and the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, according to Gulfshore Business.
Donation follows Women in Leadership presentation
The donation followed an August presentation to more than 200 members of Seminole and Hard Rock’s Women in Leadership program. In addition to the funding, program participants also donated thousands of period products.
The source report did not specify how the $15,000 will be allocated among the three counties or whether the monetary donation included any in-kind support beyond the separately noted product donations.
Nonprofit says it has distributed more than 12 million products
The Alliance for Period Supplies of Southwest Florida is a Naples-based nonprofit founded in 2019. The organization says it has distributed more than 12 million period products through its network of community partners.
This item is not a change to casino operations or gaming policy, but it does involve a major Florida casino brand’s community giving activity tied to Southwest Florida.
