Hard Rock Bet says it will fund and sponsor a $5 million slots tournament operated by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, with a live final scheduled for Dec. 12 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.
According to the company, it is the largest slots tournament Hard Rock has held in Florida. The entire prize pool is being paid by Hard Rock Bet, including a $1 million first-place prize.
How the tournament will work
Qualification opened Oct. 5 for eligible players in Florida, New Jersey, Michigan, and Ontario, and the qualifying window runs through Nov. 29.
Florida will have eight separate one-week qualifiers. New Jersey, Michigan, and Ontario will each have four separate two-week qualifiers. Players who win a qualifier earn a seat in the live tournament, and finalists will begin the Dec. 12 event with a clean slate.
Hard Rock Bet described the format as an integrated online and in-person tournament experience.
Lauren Varnas, vice president of brand marketing at Hard Rock Digital, said the event is designed to connect play on the app with an in-person championship at the Hollywood property.
Florida titles and the live final
In Florida, qualifiers will use titles from Hard Rock Bet’s Real Money Games Powered by Past Motor Racing slate. The listed game lineup includes Cash Eruption, Cleopatra, Mystery of the Lamp Treasure Oasis, Rising Rockets Emperor, and Triple Cash Eruption.
The full $5 million prize pool is set to be paid out over the course of the tournament, capped by the $1 million championship award at the live final.
Bethenny Frankel will host the live tournament and is also part of the promotional campaign.
What players should watch next
For eligible players, the key dates are Nov. 29 for the end of qualifying and Dec. 12 for the live final at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. The source did not detail the total number of finalists, market-by-market seat allocation, or additional prize terms, so those are key details to watch for in any official tournament rules or updates.
