GiddyUp, a parimutuel-powered gaming platform, is going live in Florida, introducing a new form of real-money play tied to horse racing results.

The platform, currently operating in beta, delivers casino-style gameplay without relying on traditional iGaming infrastructure. It is also live in other states, including New York and California, as it continues its broader rollout.

For Florida, where online casinos remain illegal, GiddyUp represents a new way for players to access casino-style experiences within existing regulatory frameworks.

What is GiddyUp?

GiddyUp stands apart from traditional iGaming platforms by eliminating random number generators. Instead, every outcome is based on the results of real horse races, with wagers grouped together in a shared parimutuel pool.

From the player’s perspective, the experience mirrors familiar digital casino games like slots. However, each play is ultimately tied to a real-world racing outcome, blending entertainment-style gameplay with pari-mutuel betting.

How the game works

The platform uses a “reveal” system. Players deposit funds to receive site credits, place a wager, and the result has already been determined by a corresponding race. The game then presents that outcome through a casino-style interface.

Because bets are pooled, payouts vary depending on how players distribute their wagers, rather than relying on fixed odds. This is consistent with how traditional horse racing betting works.

GiddyUp has also introduced a “How it Works” section across its platform to guide new users, along with updates aimed at improving navigation and overall performance.

Why it works in Florida

GiddyUp operates under advance-deposit wagering (ADW) regulations rather than iGaming laws. That distinction is important in Florida, where iGaming is not legal and gaming expansion has largely centered around tribal agreements and sports betting.

Florida’s established parimutuel wagering framework and history with horse racing help support this type of model, allowing GiddyUp to offer a casino-style experience within current rules.

A different kind of player experience

The platform is designed to appeal to both racing fans and casual players. Its simplified interface removes much of the complexity typically associated with traditional horse race wagering.

At launch, GiddyUp features 33 games, with plans to expand to 50 in the near future. All games are powered by race outcomes rather than RNG software.

New users can also access a $5 no-deposit bonus. The platform supports credit and debit card deposits, along with instant withdrawals.

What it means for Florida gaming

GiddyUp’s launch adds another option to Florida’s evolving gaming landscape, which already includes legal sports betting but not full iGaming.

While not a direct replacement for online casinos, parimutuel-powered games offer a potential path for expanding digital gaming options without requiring major legislative changes.
