Jean Laurent officially won Event 17 of the 2026 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open on Aug. 1, taking home $13,937 after a heads-up chop at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
The event was a $600 Deep Stack Mixed Pot-Limit Omaha tournament that drew 111 entries and produced a $57,498 prize pool. Laurent held a slight chip lead when the final two players agreed to a deal, which made him the official winner. According to the event results, the title was his second win of the series and his fourth major-series trophy overall.
Event 17 drew 111 entries in Hollywood
The mixed PLO event was part of the 2026 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open schedule at the Hollywood property. With 111 entries, the tournament generated a $57,498 prize pool and paid through at least 14th place based on the listed payouts.
Enrique Ibarra finished second and received $13,936 as part of the heads-up chop. Andrea Mastrogiovanni placed third for $6,385, followed by Kenneth Po in fourth for $4,175 and Danny Chang in fifth for $3,220.
Other listed finishers included Darin Utley in sixth for $2,645, Jeffrey Shayani in seventh for $2,245, Christopher Chen in eighth for $1,955, and Marc Sacheli in ninth for $1,725.
Laurent adds another SHRP major-series result
For players following the series, Laurent’s latest result stands out because it was described as both his second victory of this year’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open and his fourth major-series trophy overall.
The published payout list also showed Manelic Minaya, David Weiner, and Philip Sokolov each earning $1,525 for 10th through 12th place, while Vinicius Monteiro collected $1,350 and one additional finisher also received $1,350 for 13th and 14th.
The result adds another notable finish to the ongoing Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in Hollywood, one of Florida’s most visible live poker stops.
