Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood said it will add a new signature restaurant created by Major Food Group, marking the latest hospitality upgrade at one of Florida’s biggest casino resorts. The new venue will replace Cipresso, which served its final guests on July 19 after seven years.

The companies have not yet released the restaurant’s name, culinary direction, design renderings, opening timeline or reservation details. They said that information will be announced this fall.

New concept follows broader Hard Rock-MFG partnership

The announcement builds on a strategic partnership that Hard Rock International and Major Food Group established in 2024 to develop and curate dining experiences across Hard Rock’s global portfolio.

Major Food Group is known for brands including CARBONE, Torrisi and ZZ’s Club. It also previously brought its Carbone experience to Cipresso for an exclusive residency in December 2023.

Jim Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming, said Major Food Group has shown an ability to create destination restaurants and called the new concept the next step in the partnership.

Randy Morton, president of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, said the project is part of the property’s broader investment in the guest experience.

What changes now at the resort

While the replacement restaurant is still in development, Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood said some immediate dining changes are already in place.

Guest favorites from Cipresso began moving to Abiaka Wood Fire Grill on July 27, and Abiaka is expanding to seven days a week.

For casino visitors, this is mainly a resort-amenities update rather than a change to gaming operations. Still, it comes at the flagship Hard Rock property in Florida, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida and has continued to expand its non-gaming offerings alongside its casino, hotel and entertainment business.

The Hollywood resort unveiled a $1.5 billion expansion in 2019, including the Guitar Hotel. In 2023, it also launched live craps, roulette and retail sports betting.

What to watch this fall

The next key update is expected this fall, when Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and Major Food Group plan to reveal the restaurant’s name, design, culinary direction, opening timeline and reservation details.

Until then, readers should treat this as an early announcement rather than a launch date. As always, if you visit casino properties in Florida, gamble responsibly.
