Playtech reported a 77% year-over-year increase in adjusted EBITDA for the first half of 2026, and the company said a major part of that US momentum came from a product launched with Hard Rock Bet in Florida.
Revenue rose 10% to €425.1 million, while adjusted EBITDA climbed to €162.5 million from €91.6 million a year earlier. CEO Mor Weizer said the first half was “significantly ahead of our expectations at the start of the year.”
Hard Rock Bet Florida featured in Playtech’s US growth story
Playtech said revenue in the US and Canada increased 161%, or 176% at constant currency. The company described the US performance as an “outstanding performance,” driven largely by a motor racing and slot hybrid product with Hard Rock Bet in Florida.
That makes Florida one of the clearest state-level contributors mentioned in Playtech’s update. Still, the company also cautioned that the unusually strong contribution from that product will “normalise at a more sustainable level” in the second half of the year.
Playtech also said it has expanded its regulated iGaming presence to six US states, including launches with Fanatics across multiple states, FanDuel in West Virginia, and Bet365 in Michigan.
Margins and cash flow improved as guidance stayed in place
B2B revenue increased 14% to €394.8 million, while adjusted B2B EBITDA rose 75% to €128.1 million. Adjusted EBITDA margin from operations improved to 30% from 19%.
Free cash flow jumped to €101 million from €6.6 million in the first half of 2025. Playtech also said its investment in Hard Rock Digital was valued at €246.7 million at the end of June.
Despite the strong first half, Playtech maintained — rather than raised — its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance at above €270 million. The company said it expects second-half EBITDA to come in below the first half because of the expected normalization in Hard Rock Bet-related revenue, continued investment in Brazil, and a full-half impact from higher UK Remote Gaming Duty.
Another issue hanging over the results
Playtech also used its earnings release to address its ongoing legal dispute with Evolution. The company said a Spectrum Report filed on the New Jersey court docket “corroborates fundamental aspects of the Black Cube investigation” and “identifies significant concerns regarding Evolution’s compliance and monitoring practices.”
For Florida readers, the clearest takeaway is that Playtech tied a meaningful share of its recent US growth to Hard Rock Bet’s Florida-facing product — but also signaled that pace is unlikely to hold at the same level in the second half. As always, if you bet, do so responsibly.
