Sydney Sweeney has joined sports prediction market Novig as a strategic partner and equity holder after appearing in the company’s first national advertising campaign.

Novig did not disclose the size of Sweeney’s stake. According to the company, the campaign ran Wednesday, the day the NFL season opened, and quickly went viral on social media. Front Office Sports reported that the ad drew millions of views across X and Instagram.

Novig ties celebrity campaign to equity deal

Novig CEO Jacob Fortinsky said Sweeney approached him first. He also said she helped craft one of the campaign’s main lines: “No wars. No death. No politics. Just sports.”

That slogan reflects how Novig is trying to set itself apart from other prediction market platforms. The company says it excludes contracts tied to war, death, and politics and is focused only on sports.

The ad itself leaned into that positioning. In the commercial, Sweeney says, “Think you know sports? Prove it. Novig is just sports. So they wanted to show just sports.” She also adds, “You can’t trade this. I just look good here.”

How Novig is positioning itself against Kalshi and Polymarket

The article also highlighted a difference in age requirements. Novig requires users to be 21, while Kalshi and Polymarket allow traders aged 18 and over, according to the report.

For players, the immediate takeaway is less about a product change and more about branding and market positioning. Novig is using a high-profile partnership and a widely shared ad campaign to raise its visibility as competition among prediction market operators grows.

What remains unclear is whether the partnership will lead to any broader platform changes. The company did not disclose the terms of Sweeney’s equity arrangement, and the report did not specify additional product details beyond Novig’s sports-only focus.

Readers watching this space should look for any future disclosures around the partnership, as well as whether Novig’s national marketing push translates into broader reach for its sports prediction offering.
