The new

Pork lovers will enjoy the new gaming area at a Florida casino. Miccosukee Casino & Resort in Miami unveiled its slot room concept with the help of gaming company PlayAGS.

AGS is a global company focused on creating a diverse mix of entertaining gaming experiences for every kind of player. Together with Miccosukee Casino, they’ve created a first-to-market branded slot room concept that will attract and entertain customers.

Get a slice of ‘Hog Heaven’

The new slot room at Miccosukee Casino is unlike anything currently running at other Florida casinos.

Micosukee Casino is one of only a handful of locations where Floridians can play slot machines. Slot gaming is only available at facilities owned by the Miccosukee tribe and the Seminole Tribe and eight pari-mutuel facilities in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Dubbed “Hog Heaven,” the room features AGS games Rakin’ Bacon and Rakin’ Bacon Deluxe.

“The idea behind ‘Hog Heaven’ was to create a fun environment for players at Miccosukee to enjoy their favorite games and introduce social elements like a selfie wall to keepsake and share their experience at the property,” said Julia Boguslawski, AGS Chief Marketing Officer.

Showcasing Rakin’ Bacon’s main character, Cornsquealius, Hog Heaven includes a neon selfie wall, a floor-to-ceiling mural with floating pigs, LED billboard-wrapped entrances, and 33 of AGS’s top-performing titles.

“We didn’t want to just put a bunch of AGS games in a room; we wanted to be very intentional in creating a unique experience for players and immerse them into the games,” said Boguslawski.

AGS says Rakin’ Bacon has been a player favorite due to its character-driven game mechanics, such as the popular pot collection bonus and five-of-a-kind pays. Folks also enjoy the vibrant artwork that helps elevate the pig’s charm. With five variations of the game launched to date, AGS has installed approximately 3,100 Rakin’ Bacon games worldwide.

“From the first release of Rakin’ Bacon in 2018, we found that players really enjoyed the game mechanics and immediately took a strong liking to the pig, Cornsquealius,” Boguslawski said. “As we continue to release more variations and brand extensions of Rakin’ Bacon, we want to continue growing its fanbase and create new ways for players to interact with the game.”

Miccosukee Tribe looks to expand in the Florida gaming market

In addition to the Rakin’ Bacon games, other AGS games in the new slot room include Long Bao Bao and Shamrock Fortunes from the Triple Coin Treasures game family, River Dragons Jade and the supplier’s first three-reel video game, Gold Inferno.

Brad Rhines, General Manager of Miccosukee Casino & Resort, says customers like the new slot room.

“We are proud to partner with AGS to bring this innovative, fun, and first-to-market zone to South Florida,” said Rhines. “The energy of the room and the excitement of the interactive AGS game themes have transformed an ordinary space into an extraordinary one, and our guests have responded overwhelmingly.”

Creating a new feature at one of its properties is just another sign that the Miccosukee Tribe hopes to become a more significant factor in the Florida gambling scene. Most know that the Seminole Tribe dominates Florida gambling.

In August, Miccosukee tribe officials broke ground on the site of a new casino. It will be at the Miccosukee Service Plaza on I-75 and Snake Road in Ochopee. The venue will feature an 8,500-square-foot entertainment space with 150 slot machines. As part of a multi-million-dollar expansion of the Miccosukee Tribe’s operations, the Everglades-themed facility will also sell beer and wine.
