Players’ Lounge users can now access ProphetX prediction markets through a new partnership that brings the CFTC-regulated exchange onto the gaming platform.

At launch, the offering is limited to NFL, NBA, and international soccer markets. Deadspin reported that additional sports, including baseball, ice hockey, MMA, and golf, are expected to be added in the coming months, with more rollouts anticipated before the 2026-27 NFL regular season.

For players, the biggest immediate considerations are access and onboarding. Users must create a new account and complete KYC verification before a prediction trading account can be activated. Participants also must be at least 18, although the minimum age may rise to 19 or 21 depending on jurisdiction.

Availability is not nationwide. ProphetX prediction markets are geofenced to block customers in Nevada, and users in Connecticut, Illinois, Arizona, Massachusetts, Michigan, or Minnesota may also have trouble accessing the product.

ProphetX described the deal as a way to reach Players’ Lounge’s gaming audience through an exchange-based product rather than a traditional sportsbook model. ProphetX co-founder and chief commercial officer Jake Benzaquen said the partnership gives that community access to “competitive, transparent markets” on a federal exchange where participants trade against one another.

Players’ Lounge CEO Austin Woolridge said the integration fits the platform’s focus on skill-based competition and gives its users a regulated way to trade on sports outcomes.

The partnership also pairs ProphetX with a sizable existing audience. According to the report, Players’ Lounge says it has more than 1 million gamers, has processed more than $250 million in skill-based gaming wagers, and has paid out upward of $200 million in cash prizes.

For now, the practical takeaway is straightforward: eligible Players’ Lounge users can access ProphetX’s prediction markets, but only after opening a separate account, completing identity checks, and clearing state-by-state access rules.
